While on our “Sail Into Your Soul IV” Baja Cruise, my friend Karen and I enjoyed being with new friends and old friends alike. With luxurious dinners, wonderful workshops, and inspirational music, our group celebrated as we sailed to Catalina Island and Baja Mexico.
During our conference I rediscovered the need to be disciplined about creating “Me Time” and the importance of stepping outside the daily grind of being a spiritual workaholic. Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Then I realized that nearly every vacation I’ve taken has been a working vacation. Throughout the conference it seemed I wasn’t the only person that felt this way. It dawned on me that most of us need a serious “Mental ME-cation”, at some point.
Vacation is a time devoted to rest, travel, or recreation, while ME is an acronym for “Magnificent Energy.” When we take “Mental ME-cations” we’re choosing to amplify our Magnificent Energy with rest, travel or recreation.
While on the cruise I realized each of us can take a three minute Mental ME-Cation each hour, regardless of where we are. These few minutes each hour can refresh and revive our body, mind, and spirit.
You don’t have to be on a gorgeous Baja Cruise to Mexico with amazing friends to honor yourself with a luxurious Mental ME-Cation. Take care of yourself each hour and mentally sail with your soul to your favorite destinations, regardless of where you are.
