For those of you who enjoyed a little too much Vitamin D, and are nursing a sunburn, here is a quick and easy home remedy to soothe and nurse that skin back to health…
First, soak cotton balls with vinegar and apply all over the affected skin prior to showering (the acidity in the vinegar will actually help pull some of the heat out and cool the skin). Next, soak in an oatmeal or milk bath for 20-30 minutes. If you’re unable to soak, simply pour the solution on you in the shower, let it sit for as long as possible, and rinse off with water. Finally, pat the skin dry (do not rub) and apply Vitamin E cream or oil (open the capsules and apply the oil). For best results, apply the cream or oil while the skin is still damp. Repeat over the next few days.
